Google Market and quickly installed the new edition of Angry Birds Seasons. Already being fairly addicted to Angry birds on the iPad I was interested to see how the 700 USD iPad would compare to Angry Birds on this 2.2 Froyo Tablet PC.

Straight away I was quite shocked at how fluid and smooth the fun little game was playing on the Superpad, and started imaging just how many iPad users could have saved themselves hundreds of bucks by not bothering to buy an iPad to get their "Angry Birds Seasons download". In a nutshell Angry Birds plays perfectly on the Superpad II, awesome!

Youtube Videos play fluidly as well. I have yet to test the built in GPS Navigation but I think it will be sound as well.

Gaza banks shut down after Hamas confiscation

Gaza bankers said the ruling Hamas militant group sent police to confiscate the money from a branch of the Palestine Investment Bank. They said the police were accompanied by members of a committee Hamas had appointed in 2009 to oversee the Palestine Investment Fund, which is run by the rival Palestinian government in the West Bank.

The men confiscated checks from the fund, and then ordered bank tellers to cash them, though the account didn't contain enough money. The bankers spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of retribution.

The Hamas Interior Ministry said the police helped to seize the money because the investment fund had improperly transferred funds out of Gaza to the West Bank. Hamas denied the money was taken at gunpoint.

The investment fund is one of the few institutions affiliated with the rival Fatah movement still operating in Gaza. After seizing power in Gaza in a violent takeover in 2007, Hamas shut down most agencies connected to Fatah, the party of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Hamas has confiscated funds several times since the Hamas takeover, part of the bitter rivalry between the two dueling Palestinian governments. The Fatah-dominated Palestinian Authority now governs only in the West Bank.

The Palestine Monetary Authority, which regulates Palestinian banks, closed all Gaza branches Thursday to protest the confiscation. They are to reopen Sunday.

Ind. elections chief charged with voter fraud

The Hamilton County grand jury charged Republican Secretary of State Charlie White with seven felony counts in all, including three counts of voter fraud, two counts of perjury and one count each of theft and financial fraud, said John Dowd, one of two special prosecutors asked to investigate the matter.

White, who would be forced to resign if convicted of any of the charges, surrendered to authorities at the Hamilton County Jail in Noblesville. A jail officer said White had been booked and released, but she had no information about bail.

White issued a statement saying he is disappointed at the charges and believes the evidence will prove he didn't intentionally break the law. He said he will not step aside, despite calls for him to do so by Republican Gov. Mitch Daniels and the heads of the Indiana Republican and Democratic parties.

"I will continue to do the job I was elected to do and carry on serving the needs of Hoosier taxpayers through the Secretary of State's office," White said.

Prosecutors contend that White voted in last May's Republican primary after moving out of his ex-wife's home in Fishers and the town council district he represented. White has previously acknowledged the voting error, chalking it up to his busy schedule and new marriage.

He is charged with theft for allegedly continuing to collect a salary from the town council after he was no longer eligible to serve on it. The financial fraud charge pertains to White's allegedly lying under oath about his address on loan documents, Dowd said.

Dowd said the grand jury wasn't sure where White had actually resided, "but the grand jury didn't believe it was where he claimed."

Indiana Democrats called attention to the address discrepancy after White voted in last May's Republican primary. They contend White intentionally skirted the law to keep his seat on the town council.

Dan Parker, the state Democratic Party chairman, said White should resign immediately.

"The judicial system has validated what we have believed all along: Charlie White should never have been on the ballot as a candidate for public office. Much like his voting record, White's entire campaign was a fraud," Parker said.

Daniels called the charges "sad and regrettable," and he and state Republican Party Chairman Eric Holcomb said White should recuse himself, at least until the case is resolved.

"It would be neither credible nor appropriate for the state's top elections official to continue to perform his duties while contesting criminal charges, some of them under the very laws the Secretary of State implements," Daniels said.

Daniels met with White in December and urged him to postpone taking office until the issue had been resolved, but White rejected the idea, according to a Statehouse official with knowledge of the matter. The official wasn't authorized to discuss the matter and spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity.

Dowd, a Republican and a former Warren County prosecutor, and Daniel Sigler, a Democrat and former Adams County prosecutor, were assigned to investigate the allegations because White was the Hamilton County Republican Party chairman until the end of 2010 and all of Hamilton County's countywide elected officials are Republican, Hamilton County's chief deputy prosecutor, Jeff Wehmueller, has said.

If convicted of the financial fraud charge, White could be sentenced to up to eight years in prison, Dowd said. The other six charges carry maximum penalties of six months to three years in prison, he said.

Libyan volunteers eager to fight Gadhafi

The trainers gave them patriotic speeches before putting them to work cleaning machine gun parts.

Even while the rebel army tries to bind together its disparate parts to face off against the forces of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, it has to deal with an influx of eager volunteers filled with enthusiasm for a march to Tripoli, but short on real military experience.

Already, bands of Libyans have picked up weapons and headed west to help rebels in Tripoli and the nearby embattled city of Masrata, although many have run afoul of pro-Gadhafi forces along the 600-mile (1,000-kilometer) journey, especially in his hometown of Sirte.

Training sessions for the volunteers have been set up around Benghazi, but the zeal of the new recruits is being tempered by the caution of the officers — and the need to clean up some rusty weapons and equipment.

"All the Libyan people are volunteers and want to do anything to get military training," said Col. Mohammed Rifai, a fighter pilot at the military air base, which has also taken on its share of volunteers. He just shook his head about reports of bands of fighters heading off on their own.

"We don't approve. Coordination is the best thing — but it is a revolution of the people," he said with a shrug.

So far, the rebel army is just getting organized, with an announcement Tuesday that the Libyan Military Council has been formed to coordinate among the disparate units scattered across the east.

Benghazi, however, is still gripped by a revolutionary fervor less than two weeks since the rout of Gadhafi's forces and freeing of the east from his control.

Volunteers are still directing traffic and manning checkpoints into the early hours of the morning to make up for the continuing absence of police and traffic cops and cars still drive around waving the newly adopted flag of the old monarchy.

The most fervent are flocking to recruitment centers to sign up as volunteer fighters and already some 5,000 have registered in Benghazi and hundreds elsewhere in the east, according to authorities, despite word that some volunteers have been killed trying to join the fighting in the west.

"I would prefer to go immediately," said Mohammed Shebeik, 38, as he waited in line in a converted school yard to sign his name, while patriotic songs blared over a loudspeaker. "I hear at least 20 people died in Sirte, but we are not afraid. All of Libya is one hand."

He added that like most Libyans, he learned a bit of weapons training in high school.

Faisal Mohammed, 28, who had already signed his name and sat in the school yard with 100 other recruits waiting for the training to begin, was more blunt.

"If there was a group leaving (to go fight), I would go," he said.

Next to the training area, Col. Saleh Ashur supervised soldiers and a number of volunteers polishing the rust off the barrels of anti-aircraft guns and greasing up the individual parts.

"Speaking as an officer in the army, I say they have to be organized to attack not just to go out on your own," he said, with the weariness of age and experience in the face of all that enthusiasm.

He noted the irony that Gadhafi had ordered weapons training for all high school students, and "now the training is being turned against Gadhafi," but he said once their five-day refresher course was complete, the volunteers would be asked to go home and wait for a call.

At the school, trainer Ahmed Jibreel ordered his recruits to stand up, march in place, turn left, turn right and shout "God is great," while behind him others patiently scrubbed away at another filthy anti-aircraft gun.

"We are getting the guns ready in order to fight, and the guns need to be kept clean for battle," he said, when asked why the recruits seemed to be largely reserved for cleaning duties.

"Eventually we will use live ammunition in the training," said Jibril, who declined to give his rank saying that in the new Libyan army, there were no ranks. "We are here not to show off but to create fighters to win the battle."

The rebel army says there are plenty of weapons with which to arm these new recruits, although by most estimates the military lacks up-to-date equipment, heavy weapons and large supplies of ammunition. All the soldiers were wearing different kinds of uniforms and camouflage, including a fair amount of U.S. Army surplus.

"Uniforms aren't important," Jibril said. "What's important is the determination which makes the impossible, possible. Gadhafi is a paper tiger."

Paper tiger or not, Libya's rebel military is remaining cautious, even as battles rage across the country's west as Gadhafi tries to retake fallen towns.

"We are waiting for the revolution in Tripoli to do something before we move," said Ashur.
